Day 50 & 51: Gold, gold, gold!

Sorry I’ve had a nasty habit of posting the daily blog every two days or so 😦 too many things in life. I woke up Tuesday morning to find that the darn fruit still didn’t rot…. maybe it takes like a week? Aw well, I have time to wait…

In the meantime, I found my other bamboo path near the Town Hall to be growing in quite nicely!

and also, my stone tablet is now completely consumed by a forest! Ayayay…

I decided that morning that I wanted to try and grow my own gold roses… to do that, you first need black roses, which are a hybrid made from two red roses next to eachother… So I started a little field dedicated to red roses! I read on the bulletin board that it was Frank’s birthday, meaning I had to pay him a visit later on!

I found Phineas roaming through town, and he awarded me the silver Village Gardener badge for all of my hard work gardening!

I was kinda put down that he wouldn’t give me any more badges, so I set up a trap with a pitfall for him…

However, the joke was on me when I found out that none playable main characters can’t fall into pitfalls…… grr…. lol

Victoria caught up with me, finally coming out of her sickness. She really appreciated the medicine I gave her…

… and rewarded me with a shirt I will never wear. Awesome!

I finally stopped by to see Frank, even giving him a present…

I then went to my island and earned medals to buy a new wetsuit! It looks much better than the stripe one I had, which I gave to Matt because he didn’t have one yet 🙂

My mail came and I got a few kitchen items, which further brought the room together. I decided to stick the barbecue bed in the museum DLC exhibit so I have more room… For one, it’s ugly and gross, and two, it will be better suited there than in my kitchen (regardless of it being a 7-11 item lol)

You may notice I made the Brewstoid a cashier haha. Speaking of Brewster, I filled in for work and met two new faces, Gabi and Del, even though I didn’t get a special item reward that day…

Anyway, shortly after work, I headed up to see Dr. Shrunk on main street, who taught me the Resignation emotion…. well…. yeah, that’s all I have to say about that…

I was able to play Tuesday night (for those that have followed me, you know nights are a bad time for me to play). I noticed that my town tree was bigger than it had been the previous day! So I could now sit beneath it on the ledge…

And I discovered that if you sit beneath it long enough, a sort of history of your town will start scrolling along the side of the screen! Awesome!

Now I just need to find a night to play when the Resetti Surveillance center is open…. I don’t know if I’ll ever get to go down there… 😦

Gayle was having dirty thoughts about me apparently when I passed by her in town… She gave me her toy……

I then went and hit the clubs, something else I don’t get to do very often..

However, it’s not too fun by yourself 😦 I called it quits for the day and awaited the next morning….

Where I found Redd’s tent in my town square! Woo!

Frank tried his best to be thoughtful to me when I passed by him in town… but seriously… come on man

A friend of mine online wanted to trade me some regular items for a good-luck roll, a Japan exclusive hold item! Nice… now I can hold it and stuff! 😀

I decided to go to the island, and good thing I did! If you remember in my last post, my T.I.Y. store’s garden center carries 2 bush plants a day, which I’m using to build my “retaining” walls (lol). However, today at the island, a red hibiscus bush starter was one of the items (this also means unlimited stock!!) What I also found was that one of the tours available today is the hammer tour, which I can easily beat the “Elite” mode and get 12 medals every time!

So, I’ll let you do the math, but the bushes are 5 medals a piece and I get 12 medals per 3 minute minigame, so… YES! 🙂 My town will come along much faster than I thought!

I also read online that cabana furniture can be customized with gold ore! I decided to put this to the test, and sure enough, Cyrus agreed to make me a cool bed! But I would have to wait 30 minutes for it to be done…

In the meantime, I hit the town, and I found another one of those double silver balloons floating around…….. but I already got a 2nd silver slingshot, why am I getting another?

I gave the item away to a random player and then went to visit Dr. Shrunk, who taught me a Shyness emotion… tee hee

Now that I can perform the creepiest look in the world, I headed back to Re-Tail and picked up my golden cabana bed! It looks amazing! However, I was out of gold ore, and I would now have to treat the rest of my items in the same way… All in time!

Erik caught up with me and suggested a water pump as my next public works project. Not what I was looking for, but it works for now…

So I talked to Isabelle and she wanted to hold a (long awaited) ceremony for the stone tablet…

And then I chose a location for the new water pump up by my town well!

Which, of course, I paid off on the spot! 😀

That’s when I heard the swooshing of a balloon gift and thought “Oh no… another silver slingshot…” However, this was much better! Three golden balloons floating overhead! I didn’t know this would come to me so quickly!

I finally got my golden slingshot! No more needing to shoot down balloons! 😀

Out of gold ore (like I said) and wanting to further remodel my home, I decided to give my exotic furniture collection a “Black & Red” makeover. You might remember my exotic lamp that I remodeled a couple of posts back. Well, this time around, I did my exotic screen, and it looks great!

I followed it up with my exotic bench!

I went to work at Brewster’s today, but to no avail (again! grr….) At any rate, Victoria basically told me she has some “special dance moves” specifically about me… 😉 Once again, just when you think this is a kid’s game… nope

I personally think it’s a little morally unsound to start doing that in a coffee shop, but nonetheless, what can I say? We’re in love…

ANYWAY, I happened to stumble upon an online deal and traded 600k (where, if you remember, I have money up the wazzoo…. that’s pocket change lol) for 4 gold ores, 3 fossils I needed and a Super Star for my Nintendo exhibit! Now I am very very close to completing my museum fossils!

I finished off the day by picking up my exotic wardrobe, which looks good in black and red!

For Tomorrow:

• Catalog event… seriously…. seriously seriously
• More cabana remodels (with gold ore)
• more DLC? perhaps. I’ll also clarify with my European friend that their new DLC is the festival lantern that I’ve had available for a while now.

Day 49: Best Buy DLC Round 4! And a Visit From Matt!

Another SpotPass home added to my HHA Showcase this morning! She also had many cool things that I ordered! This is all right, random people being added to the showcase!

Anyway, straight after that, I headed to the post office to download the item that released yesterday, the double-neck guitar. To do this of course, I had to first switch my router name to “Bestbuy”.. (visit my website for more information, http://animalcrossingnewleaf.moonfruit.com).

It’s the perfect item to cap off my guitar collection I’ve got going on in my music studio!

I checked up on my pear that I’m waiting to rot… Still looking good… Better give it a couple more days lol

As I made my way through town, that’s when I saw it… a pair of silver balloons! Luckily, a friend of mine already gave me the silver slingshot, but this felt good because now I’ve actually earned one! 😀

The stone tablet forest is coming along great! I can hardly see anything in here!

Also, I checked up on the two bushes I planted yesterday to check the theory that they can be planted beside bamboo. To a happy surprise, it worked! This is gonna be great! 🙂

I rearranged my rococo room a bit. It’s looking really great

I see that Victoria put the doghouse I gave her in her room… Oh yeah 🙂

Don’t forget that the fireworks show is coming up this Sunday at 7 pm! (I hope I don’t forget)

I found a cap at Labelle’s today that I really like. It’s gonna be my new style choice!

The Museum 2nd floor shop finally has the jungle floor in to commemorate 50 total donated insect species! I’ve been waiting, because I’ve had over 50 for a while now! Awesome!

I decided to put it in my Odds & Ends display room lol

I hit the town again and Ken gave me a creative nickname… That’s cool…

I’ve got more plans for bamboo in my town a-stirring! Can’t wait til everything grows to my liking 🙂

I then rearranged my gyroids into alphabetical order (don’t ask why, it just seems more organized than before…)

Frank caught up with me and tried to move out… Another resident that I’ve kept from leaving! He’s the only one with the “zen” themed personality type, so he’s a must-stay!

I ordered another double-neck guitar for my DLC exhibit, which arrived promptly via mail!

I also decided the direction I wanted to take my kitchen area. I made a simple design called “60’s Diner Tile” and left a large alpine table for Cyrus to work on!

Upon my return, it was absolutely perfect! Exactly what I wanted! 😀

I performed this treatment on another table and went to visit Dr. Shrunk. He taught me the daydreaming emotion today… Could be useful I suppose… 🙂

I then had a good friend of mine, Matt, come over to visit! (You can find his info out on my website!). We had a great time!

After a while of messing around, we called it a day. He’ll be back though! 🙂

To end my day, I decided to work at Brewster’s. I met this really eff-ed up looking sheep…. What in the world?

Hmmm… regardless, I also found she wasn’t on the perfect coffee guide on my website, so I made a note below, and will do so for other’s that are missing!

I was ecstatic because after my work today, Brewster said he would give me a gyroid he made himself!!!

It looks great in my kitchen! How cool is that?

Now, I can finally say that this room is coming together nicely! Tomorrow shall be another step in the right direction! 😀

Day 47 & 48: T.I.Y. Shopping Center!

I decided to start off my weekend playtime by filling in for work duty at Brewster’s. In the mix of four customers was a new face, Chow the panda. I knew exactly how to make his coffee (thanks to my handy guide on my website, http://animalcrossingnewleaf.moonfruit.com)

Due to all of my hard work, Brewster finally presented me with my next prize, the cafe uniform! So dashing! 😀

I returned to my house to find that my “mom” in the game had sent me a gift in the mail, a swimming cap… oh goody…

I checked up on the pear I’m leaving out to rot (to attract ants and flies for my insect encyclopedia), but it still looked normal 😦

I saw that my bamboo fantasy was slowly coming to life around town! Looking good!

Also my mini-forest project around the stone tablet is coming together! These things will grow in no time at all! 😀

I next visited main street and was excited to check out my new and improved store, T.I.Y.! It ties together the Nookling’s and the Garden Center!

A cool fact that I didn’t know about was that they sell K.K. music there! I’m gonna try to attend concerts (to get the Phineas badge….) but in the meantime, this is a cool way to build my music collection (although, I have all 91 songs on catalog… I’m too lazy for ordering that much lol)

Leif also let me know that he will open a weed pulling service! Not that I’ll need it, I pull my own weeds, but thanks anyway Leif!

I checked up Victoria, and she was still down and out with a cold… 😦

However, unlike the day before, my store was now open for business, and I could get her the medicine she needed to get better!

I wrecked more havoc on my town, coming up with more ridiculous sayings….

I also obtained a wooden stool…. this is not exciting new at all, but now I can appear to be actually playing piano while sitting down!

To end Saturday off, Dr. Shrunk taught me his Sunniness emotion!

Now, instead of that boring smile that I had before, I have a very exaggerated one! People shall now know when I smile…

It was also Erik’s birthday, I had almost forgotten, so I swung by and gave him a gift (coincidentally, an item he himself put into Re-Tail… He liked it nonetheless!)

Sunday began in a similar fashion, I went in for work at Brewster’s and met an interesting fellow named Beardo…… No prize item for working though 😦

Oh well, next time perhaps. Phineas was also sitting in drinking a cup of coffee! He made a comment that he hasn’t made a badge for good coffee making yet….. well maybe you should, lazy a$$…..

Forgot to mention that via mail yesterday, I got a return gift from Erik for showing up to his b-day party the day before, it was a folk guitar! Sweet! I didn’t know that the country and folk guitars were different! Now I have a nice collection!

Anyway, back to Sunday…. Upon scanning the town, I found yet another Jacob’s Ladder growing there!

I also noticed that my forest is coming along nicely!

Also, the new and improved garden center sells bushes which, as I’ve heard, can be planted in between bamboo… This would make my catalog event field secluded and a really nice place, so, I’m testing this out! I will find out tomorrow if it works or not!

To end the day, I visited Dr. Shrunk and he taught me to show Glee through emotion! Woohoo!

• Downloading the next BestBuy DLC, the double-neck guitar!
• Matt, a good friend of mine, will pay me a visit!

Day 46: More Psychedelic Dreams…

I woke up this morning to find that a model Eiffel Tower had made its way into my mailbox from Gulliver! Pretty cool!

Today, several more bamboo shoots were in the ground for me to dig up (this must happen every 2-3 days I’m guessing, like fruit regrowing)

I have plans for all of them 🙂 Anyway, barely making it a foot from my house, I noticed another balloon gift. If you’ve been keeping up with my blogs, you’ll note I’m only shooting them down for the badge from Phineas (for a full list of badges, visit my website, http://animalcrossingnewleaf.moonfruit.com)

Also, Gayle tried to leave as soon as she could this morning, but I wouldn’t let her. I don’t know why, she’d be the easiest to let go, but I don’t wanna eff up my town by her house disappearing and someone else’s coming in at any location… after all, my paths are pretty well laid out!

Starting my great bamboo plan, I stumbled upon a gold nugget ore! Two more to get another golden furniture item 🙂

While traversing the town, I was very surprised to find yet another balloon gift… Hey, whatever gets me closer to that 50 mark!

I visited main street to find that the Nookling’s shop and garden center were under construction, as promised!

In my town square, Redd was visiting today! Unfortunately, the only legit item he was selling was a painting I already have… So I might try to trade someone for another legit painting… hmmmmmm

I swung by Victoria’s to see why she wasn’t out and about like normal and she was complaining because she’s sick 😦 as much as I want to bring her medicine, the store’s all closed up for the remodel…

I started talking to Shari outside and she told me that she wanted to buy 2 shirts off from me. However, I chose an option to just give them to her for free, and she was elated! 😀

Frank got an excited manner when I walked by, and I got antsy (because I’ve been waiting for him to recommend a Zen structure for my town… He’s the only one with the grumpy personality type to do it…) However, he recommended something else, a stone table public works project… hey, that works too!

I set up a location in the middle of town (ish), which I paid off immediately

I then set up some surroundings, I think it will look cool enveloped in a mini-forest… we’ll see how it turns out!

I did a little bit of diving today, and came across another scallop, which is good because now I can put one in my museum (since I gave my first one to Pascal)

I then decided to do a little more dream traveling today. Now, I’m really sorry that I don’t remember the addresses… I googled something like “New Leaf creepy dream addresses” and came up with these….. Looks like a drug addict made this first one…. but I’ll let you look through the pics and see for yourself!

The second one I visited wasn’t quite as demented, and actually had some cool layouts…

Done dreaming for the day, I decided to go visit Dr. Shrunk and he taught me the Worried expression!

To finish off the day, I was looking for more bugs and fish to catch when I noticed that to get the fly and ant, as with previous games, you need rotten fruit or turnips. So I placed a pear outside and will wait for it to rot to hopefully add these two to my encyclopedia!

I will go work at Brewster’s later and will note if I get any special items in my next blog post! See you all soon! 😀

Day 44 & 45: Pascal appears! And 100,000 HHA points!

Sorry for the delay on posts, super busy again! My wednesday started off with the spotting of a balloon gift in the sky. Again, I have the complete balloon set, but shooting down balloons can lead to Phineas giving you badges (see my website for more info, http://animalcrossingnewleaf.moonfruit.com).

Speaking of Phineas, I saw him shortly after shooting down my gift. Not for balloons, but he presented me with a Seafood Maniac badge for catching a number of deep sea creatures!…

And also a silver HHA badge! I finally made it over the 100,000 point marker for interior design. This also would mean a prize would be sent (after I talk to Lyle lol)

I planted a few more bamboo sprouts, seeing my vision for my town come more into line. Can’t wait til this is done! 🙂

I found a camper in town named Leonardo. I talked to him a lot throughout the day because I read somewhere that, while 9 villagers is the max (which I have), you can gain a 10th through another town or by a camper! However, I couldn’t convince him to move, but got a few good items off of him!

Since I learned I toppled 100,000 HHA points, I headed towards Nook’s Homes, gaining a new beetle to my encyclopedia along the way!

It felt good to hear Lyle give me the news I already knew

Among the items I got from Leonardo were a mixer box (don’t remember exactly what it’s called) and a video camera! These will look great in my studio!

I decided after that to go deep sea diving to try and find more species. I stumbled upon a sea slug…

and a scallop!

Right after finding the scallop, Pascal rose from the water behind me and asked if he could have it. This will happen with the first scallop you find every week, and giving it to him will get you a very rare Pascal item! I traded right away to get the ship compass!

I caught up with Pecan in town and she asked me to give her a new greeting… which I graciously did……. lol

I visited Victoria’s home and see that she put a saddle fence in there which I had sent her the day before via mail (included with a letter that had something to the effect of riding her… I know, I’m a perv lol). Nice to see she liked what I had to say!

Mail came a little later that morning, and included was my Gold HHA Trophy! I can now show off my massive amount of points and wait until I topple the next level (150,000 points… oh boy)

I also got a white katana, a 45,000 bell item, from a spotpass player’s house from the HHA showcase! It looks pretty great!

And, also from the showcase, a country guitar… further completing my music studio!

I served up some mean coffee, with compliments from Cube, a penguin visitor from out of town…

However, no prize was given by Brewster that day 😦 I ended my play session by visiting Dr. Shrunk and learning the Flourish emotion. Now I can dance and make stars shoot out from me because I’m awesome!

Thursday morning also had an exciting start! I scanned the beach (as I normally do) and found Gulliver had washed up on my shore!

After he talked about the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, etc., I knew instantly that he was making his way to France. For helping him out, he said he’d send an item in the mail! He also had made a comment (which he does every time) about me being kind like residents of Ricco Harbor. Super Mario Sunshine is one of my favorite games of all time and I appreciate the reference 🙂

Ken tried to leave, but I (as I always do!) stopped him in his tracks…

I visited the Nookling’s shop to get some exciting news! They’d finally be upgrading their shop the next day!

I headed next door to the Able Sisters’ and tried on a bridal wig, which I was told was lovely………

Lol, well, what can I say 😉 I got back on for some evening playing and admired my super cool house in the night sky.

I also got more mail, which included some more showcase items, like these HUGE bookcases!

I went to work at Brewster’s again, serving up some mean coffee. However, he refused to give me a gift again. Now I’m thinking the level perfect order amounts are really screwy… I don’t know what the basis is, and no one else seems to either..

I ended the day by learning the Thought emotion from Dr. Shrunk. I used it a few times but I still don’t get the Brewster levels… However, be that as it may, check the website for a full guide on how to make perfect coffee every time! 😀

Day 43: Cyrus’s Amazing Remodeling Abilities..

This morning, I started off by taking another dip in the ocean. Good thing I did, or I never would have found a pearl oyster, a new deep sea specimen to my collection! 🙂

It’s a little hard to see in this picture, but upon returning to my house, I found that it was surrounded in dig spots! These all turned out to be bamboo shoots, so now I had a sh*t-ton of it! I have a plan in store, but more on that in a bit 🙂

Upon scouring my town for ores, I came across another gold nugget! This is good news, because those of you that have been keeping track, this brings my total to 3!

Back to the bamboo plan, I want the main path through my town to be surrounded by it, I think it will look very cool. Maybe I’ll look into planting some hibiscus plants amidst the empty space (if this is even possible) so that it feels more orderly 🙂

Most of you know from my previous blogs, but if you missed it, you can give Cyrus at Re-Tail 3 gold nuggets and 10,000 bells and he will give you a piece from the golden furniture collection! I dropped my stuff off to await my prize!

I swung by the new flower clock while I was out and about. It looks really great and proves that I have an upkept town!

I noticed someone was in the campground today! I went on in and visited with a bird named Celia! She seemed pretty cool, but she kept wanted to play a game where I’d have to give up an item, and the only items I had on me were my tools…. so no thanks lol

I talked to Isabelle and we held a ceremony for the flower clock. Cousteau was a good sport and showed up. I don’t think I’ll tackle any more public works until I unlock more. I had some fossils that needed to be examined so I ran to the museum. Normally I don’t post anything about it because all I ever get are repeat fossils, but today I got a winner that completed my Triceratops! My museum is becoming more and more complete every day 🙂

I even stopped by the insect exhibit to gawk at my tarantula that I was VERY lucky to stumble upon earlier in the game (from what I’ve heard, they’re very hard to find and sting you half the time).

30 minutes had passed since dropping off my materials to Cyrus, so I jogged back over to Re-Tail to see what he built me. He had a golden wall torch sitting there waiting to be picked up! Awesome!

I was happy so I decided to go talk to Victoria (which I’m trying to do multiple times every day to see if I can get a picture from her). However she was sleeping again… Awkward…

I visited the HHA showcase to my new streetpass’s house because she has a ton of things that will go well in mine (if you remember last blog). One thing I noticed is she had a really cool looking exotic lamp. I happened to have one in my house, so I went back to Cyrus for another project, dropping off my lamp for a while.

Meanwhile, back at home, my things I purchased yesterday from the showcase arrived! I put most of them in my cabana room, bringing more of the island feel! 😀 I love it

After a short while, Cyrus had my lamp ready for pickup… This looks WAY better!!

Stoked about my cool lamp, I decided to fill in for work duty at Brewster’s. I served up some mean coffee today (again, if you’ve been reading, a full guide on making perfect coffee is on my website). Phyllis came in today and it was particularly funny because even though she never says anything positive, she thought something semi-decent after I made her favorite blend

Just when I thought I’d stop seeing daily prizes, Brewster surprised me yet again today with a coffee grinder… So whatever numbers are on my (and other peoples’) website are very wrong… For I’ve hardly made 30 cups of perfect coffee, let alone the supposed 96 that websites state.

I headed up to Dr. Shrunk to finish my day out and he taught me his Disagreement emotion. Now I can shake my head at people when they’re being crazy lol

Before I turned my game off for the day, Victoria got hold of me and gave me a very nice comment. If she has the hots for me.. Then why haven’t I gotten her picture yet???

For Tomorrow:

• Nothing too exciting, more website updates (did you notice that the Catalog tab on the site has been fully updated? – minus music and what items I personally have?)
• See about some of the trades I had laid out that mysteriously disappeared????

Day 42: Diving Expedition!

Right to the start this morning, I headed over to the event plaza. I was actually limited on time today too, so I had to get going bright and early. I found that Katrina had set up her tent in my plaza. Time for my fortune!

After her usual rambling, she revealed to me that a sporty top would be the key to my happiness……. hmmm…

Well, I’m pretty happy as is, so I visited Town Hall and Isabelle told me she wanted to hold a celebration event, which was pretty cool! (And right outside…. lol)

Gayle told me that she was moving again after the ceremony… and while I dislike her the most…. I told her to stay 😦 I just can’t shoo people away. So now she’s staying here… Oh joy.

Somebody else appeared in my HHA showcase via streetpass. While I don’t agree with her style choices, she has ALOT of items that will go great in my home! Now the hard part… I can only order 5 items a day… So it will be a wait until I complete my exotic series etc, but it’s worth the wait

I next decided to start the next public works project on my list, the flower clock. If you didn’t catch up on my latest blogs, I got my town to be deemed perfect by villagers (and Isabelle), unlocking the Town Hall renovation and this flower clock…

…Which, naturally, is to be built by tomorrow!

While talking to Victoria (flirting? talking? whatever you wanna call it..) I noticed it… See?

That huge shadow that I always seem to find. It can only mean one thing! Arapaima!!

I was very excited about my catch, even though it’s only worth 10,000 bells, it’s still one of the best fish in the game. Feeling lucky, I decided to do something I don’t normally do. Go to the island and try my luck at catching deep sea creatures while diving. I’m glad I did! Today, I brought in a haul of new species for my museum! Including but not limited to some seaweed…

And a few of these really creepy giant isopods… Don’t tell me these really exist…. 😦

Feeling great, I finished diving for the day. I went into my basement and noticed that my game shelf I got a while back is pink, and I really don’t like it. So I took it to Cyrus and he changed it to black for me in a quick manner. Much better!

And yes… Still admiring my house… 🙂

A minor note, I put in some stairs near my town’s southeast cliff as a sort of “diving station”! If you saw a couple of blogs ago, you can dive off of cliffs into the ocean! Pretty neato

I went to work at Brewster’s and, of course did a perfect job! (Again, visit my website for a full guide on being a barista… http://animalcrossingnewleaf.moonfruit.com). I had a strange koala visit today named Yuka! Why don’t I have any cool animals in my town?

Can’t complain though, my animals are pretty chill 🙂 As a reward for a good days work, I was giving the cream and sugar item from Brewster. Now I’m really questioning the number system for getting these… The one on my website (which I got from several other sources) obviously isn’t correct.. But oh well!

Dr. Shrunk decided to teach me his Sheepishness joke today! Now I can put on that awkward smile that makes me look unsure of myself haha

I was done playing for the day, but Ken approached me on the way home and asked me for an apple… Since he was standing right next to an apple tree, I obliged and he congratulated me with his boomerang!

It looks great hanging in my cabana room! Can’t wait to see what items I get a hold of tomorrow! 🙂

Day 40 & 41: My First Bug Off!… Failure…

On Friday afternoon of last week, my brother visited my apartment and brought his 3DS so that we could streetpass! Now, he didn’t bring his AC game… (I wanted to practice duping… grrr…) but I still learned something cool! If you simply pass by someone who has AC data on their 3DS, even if they don’t have the game in, they will still join your HHA showcase!

Anyhow, I’m way more of a persistent player, so he’ll probably get more out of my house being in his showcase 🙂 Speaking of my house, my golden walls were installed! My house looks so epic now…

My Saturday morning was off to an odd start. Normally I might find one or two bamboo shoots lying around but I found seven?!? Is that even possible? Aw well, the more bamboo the merrier!

I was then given some bad news.. Victoria wanted to move! After my long hours crushing on her and sending her many many letter…. She broke my heart 😦 Luckily after our conversation, I convinced her to stay (I seriously think she’s into me, as far as AC:NL can go haha)

I was also psyched on Saturday morning because of the Town Hall, which had been remodeled in Zen fashion. It looks so great and matches the rest of my town now!

I’m gonna update the website (http://animalcrossingnewleaf.moonfruit.com), but the next thing on my agenda is getting Zen lanterns, benches, etc. To get these, I need a “grumpy” character to recommend them, which I have 1, Frank. I will work on a list so you can see which character can get you which styled public works projects.

Now! Back on topic, I went by the event plaza and met Nat for the first time. Normally I don’t have much time to play on the weekends, so I always miss the bug off!

I saw Katie roaming around, but like I said, my time is limited, so I let her be… haha…

For the bug contest, I caught a simply fruit beetle, nothing special. It got me 37 points and propelled me to 1st place. Nat gave me a dirt-clod wall, which is a special insect collection item you can only get at the bug off!

That’s all the time I had on Saturday. Unfortunately, I ended up losing my position, but it was cool to get the wall still.

Sunday morning, I couldn’t help but stare at my house some more.. I really do love it. I also put in a cabana mailbox (because I switched my HHA points back to “basic” instead of themed, more info on my website about the point systems).

Cousteau had something up his butt when I passed by him… Ah well…. French animals are strange ones…

I was able to work at Brewster’s on Sunday, completing all perfect orders. However, I didn’t receive a prize. I then visited Dr. Shrunk as well where I learned the Happiness emotion!

Now I can smile, and did so to retake my ID card picture! Awesome! Can’t wait for tomorrow!

Day 38 & 39: Perfect Town! Plus, I’m HHA VIP!

Sorry for the delayed post! Again, college is not fun… Anyway.. Yesterday morning, I went on some tours and earned myself a cabana wardrobe! One step closer to having a complete furniture set in that room!

I swung by the new solar panel public works project to see it sitting there in the rain. So glad I built it!

Cousteau looked entirely too happy to see me when I walked by, so I asked him what he wanted. He offered a game of hide and seek with him and Cobb… Well, how could I refuse? I also got a hefty time limit of 15 minutes! Not a problem!

I took time during the game to do my daily chores. In the ore rock, I found another gold nugget! One more until I’m the proud owner of another piece of golden furniture!

As you can tell… The game was very very difficult. You wouldn’t see these guys unless you looked very very closely… haha. The prize for winning was a polka-dot closet… Oh boy

Anyway, I next crept over to check up on Victoria. Since she has a crush on me, I want to try a method I read online. Apparently if I talk to her 10 or more times a day, she’ll grow close enough to me to give me her picture. I’m putting the method to the test. However, when I arrived at her place, I found her sleeping… Awkward… lol

I went to Nook Homes to check up on my score. Now that exterior themes were being monitored and I had the theme “Harmonious” (which my house is decked out in Zen material), I found my score had boosted itself to 550,000 points! Wow!

Isabelle wanted to hold another super exciting ceremony… So many people showed up for the solar panel… It was nuts…

When deciding my next one, I decided to create a sign for the catalog events that I hold on Gamefaqs.com! That was, it will look nice and professional 🙂 (for more info on my catalog events, visit my website.. http://animalcrossingnewleaf.moonfruit.com)

Of course, it wasn’t fast before it was all paid off! I next visited Brewster’s to find Tortimer sitting in on a coffee. He invited me to sit with him… I think he was flirting with me? It was strange..

Going BACK to Nook Homes, I found out that by earning 550,000 points, I had unlocked a golden roof and golden exterior option for my home. I, however, didn’t get the two tier prizes below that that I was missing, a gold HHA trophy or a gold house model. Very confused, I simply pressed on and waited for them to come in the mail (although there’s a different reason which I’ll touch on in a bit).

I next visited Shrunk, who taught me his showmanship joke. Now I can flash people with stars to let them know who’s boss. Pretty neato 🙂

I next went to work at Brewster’s. Same old deal, 4 perfect orders, one being from a cat named Olivia who does not live in my town…

As a gift for doing so well, Brewster gave me a siphon, which will be a nice little addition to my kitchen (once I get counters and organize, it’s a mess in there!)

Just out of complete curiosity as to where my town stood in ratings, I asked Isabelle to let me know what others thought. I was astounded when she said that people adored my town to the maximum and it was perfect! Was not expecting that! She then told me as a congratulations that two new public works projects would be opened, a remodel of the Town Hall building and a flower clock! Awesome!! 😀

I also read online that updating your town’s dream address can bring in some money (because somehow you’re helping them out?) so I did it and got 5,000 bells easily.

Thursday ended there and I decided to call it a day…

This morning, I awoke to sunshine unlike the rains of yesterday. I might try and visit the Reset Surveillance Center tonight (can only be visited from 8 pm to midnight on the night of a sunny day that follows a rainy day….. I know, confusing right?) so if I do I’ll post about it tomorrow. Anyway, I saw my golden roof. It’s a bit odd, but kind of cool!

Walking around town, I found that Saharah was here! I invited her into my home and she gave me the shoji screen wall and sand garden floor, both of which will fit my Zen indoor theme when I’m ready to redecorate!

I saw Victoria walking around and, of course, had to talk to her. She was really impressed that I was carrying around a watering can like a manly man 😉

I went towards my station to post my new design promoting my catalog events (more information on my website, http://animalcrossingnewleaf.moonfruit.com). I chose a design featuring Tom Nook, kind of an old school one! 🙂

I saw Phineas walking around and asked him for a badge. He presented me with a Good Shopper badge for buying so many items (about time this one came, geez)

After getting my fancy badge, Gayle caught my attention. She told me she wanted to give me a shirt, so I gladly took it off her hands. I decided to keep talking to her, and she did something unexpected… Gave me 2 more shirts in a row… That’s a little bit odd…

Can’t complain though! I went to Town Hall next and Isabelle wanted to conduct a ceremony for my little Catalog Event! sign. I went and a lot of the villagers showed this time around!

As for the next project, the choice was a no brainer! I’ve been waiting for the town hall remodel for a long time, I just suspected I wasn’t close to having a perfect town. So I set up Lloid in the Town Hall to take donations on a Zen themed building. Of course, all funds were covered by me 🙂

Hitting the town once again, Victoria got my attention, of course. She conveyed a rumor to me that people say I’m a happy tourist. Don’t know why I’m getting accused of this because I don’t really visit other people too often… Oh well!

I decided to get out my old wetsuit and go for a dip in the ocean to possibly find more species of underwater life. I was reminded a bit of Where’s Waldo? in the process.

All references aside, I also figured out that you can jump off of your town cliff and into the water! How cool!

I visited Shrunk and he taught me his heartbreak joke…. Hope it’s not a sign. Now, the last thing I did today was visit Nook Homes. I was still kind of irked that I didn’t receive my two rightful prizes. I found something out.

If you choose to go with a theme (like me with “Harmonious”) the HHA judges interior & exterior and rates your points of which I got 550,000 on Thursday. You can tell Lyle to scrap the theme, which would bring me back down to 96,000 which my interior score was before the switch. I would have to achieve 150,000 in the “no-theme” mode to win my 2 remaining prizes, and then get 1,100,000 points in the combined area to achieve all exterior golden pieces. Hope that clears up the whole situation (and I know I’m not the only one who felt cheated once you pay off your entire home and join the HHA VIP).

Day 37: Short Playthrough (Just an update!)

Hey all! I didn’t have much time to play at all today so here’s just a quick update on the happenings of today. Lyle scared the crap out of me first thing this morning as he congratulated me on my paid off house. He said that my home’s exterior would now be included in my point value, as well as my theme (which I chose the Asian “Harmonious” theme!)

Hopefully that’ll boost my HHA points a bit. I checked my mail to find that Gulliver had sent me my gift, a chinese lantern! It goes perfect in my main room of my house!

Caught another balloon drifting around today. Even though I have all pieces of the balloon furniture set, you can only get a gold slingshot by shooting down a certain number of balloons, so I keep popping away! 😀

Cousteau got a hold of me as I was going to check out my new train station. He basically shoved an exotic table into my hands, which I’m not complaining about because it fits my theme of my house exactly!

As you can see, I’m going for the zen theme, I can’t wait for more Japanese styled things to be unlocked so that they match my train station and house!

I went to Ables’… Nothing too exciting… I tried on a skirt though!

Once again, Labelle appeared surprised when I popped in the room, like she actually likes me now! She appeared snobby at first, but now she’s very kind in her mannerisms.

I went home and redecorated a bit… Here’s how the main room of my house is looking as of now. It’s coming together very nicely!

Also, apparently my dude liked to close his eyes every time I took a picture lol.. Sorry bout that! Anyway, I went to work at Brewster’s and served the daily four people. I was stunned to find that one of these, a monkey named Boone, didn’t even live in my town… Where did he come from? He was probably surprised when I made his coffee perfect (a guide on how to do this is on my website).

The other thing I disproved was a theory that you get a new special item from Brewster every day that you complete 4 correct orders, because today I didn’t get one. I’m wondering if the coffee machine I first got was actually for 4 total correct orders and the espresso machine was actually for 8 (instead of 16 and 32, respectfully). I will try to look further into this and update the website.

Anyway, Cobb found me after work and told me he thinks a solar panel would be a great next public works project. What the heck, don’t have anything better to do, so….

First I stopped off at Club LOL and Shrunk taught me the fearful emotion. Now I can tremble in fear at the sight of horrifying things lol

I talked to Isabelle and we held a celebration for the new train station (the first one since the cafe that I’ve cared about…) and Porter even came! Sweetness.

I chose a location near the event plaza to house the new public works project, the solar panel (go figure… right?)

… and I’m proud to say it will be done tomorrow 😉

Lastly, I would note that I added a new guitar to my music studio, and it’s looking pretty good so far!

For Tomorrow:

• I have a college assignment due… So probably another worthless day like this. We shall see though 🙂 All of the things from last blog, I should be working towards tomorrow as well!
