Weeks 13 & 14: More DLC!! Autumn is here, Jack appears, Candy for all!

Hey all!

Well, as promised… This week’s (or two weeks’ rather) blog posts are very short… I’m sorry, but I’ve been incredibly busy! I just got back from a long weekend in Chicago and am now on a crazy workout regimen for my next upcoming film project I’m working on, but more on that later.

If you take a look on my website (http://animalcrossingnewleaf.moonfruit.com), you will be able to see over this next week a new section titled “Town Tour”. In this section, I will have an interactive map with a tour of my whole town for you to enjoy! Can’t wait!

Image

In other news, I FINALLY came across that alpine kitchen cart I’ve been searching for… It makes a great final addition to my diner! 🙂

Image

Customized of course lol. As for my HHA score, I have been getting super close, dancing around the 140,000 line. So little to do until I push myself to 150,000… ugh…

Image

I found out a funny fact. If you are on a cliff above town residents and they are on the beach, they look up at you…  Wow, this moment… haha

Image

I’ve been enjoying the many new clothing items Gracie has had to offer in my completed storefront. Well… I don’t know about the styles… but it helps me complete my catalog! Lol

Image

I finally got another black rose to grow in my town, which means I’d be harvesting it to make a gold rose. If you want a complete hybrid guide, see my website, but essentially, two red roses next to each other have a small chance of making a black rose, and if you let it wilt and then water it with your golden watering can (bringing it back to life) it turns into a gold rose!

Image

I was super excited when October rolled around because, finally, the new monthly DLC was available, the rice-plant bed! Simply talk to the post-office attendant while connected to the internet…

Image

And it shall be yours!

Image

Who wouldn’t want to lay on a rice-plant?? lol. I was roaming around town and happened to see a familiar face. It’s Jack from previous games’ Halloween festival! I was confused though… I thought he only showed up on Halloween Day?

Image

He explained to me that I should begin collecting candy and unique masks in preparation for the festival and granted me my first costume item, a skeleton hood. Well, it won’t be easy!

Image

I found some more news on unique downloadable DLC. This only works in the US. If you travel to any Nintendo Zone location (or change your router name to “Bestbuy”, instructions on my site) and talk to the post-office attendant, you will not get another rice-plant bed… no…. in fact, in the month of October, you get the previously unknown dated fedora chair! I’m glad I stumbled upon a thread this morning, or I’d have had no idea!

Image

Apparently Nintendo kept this one a little on the quiet side, mentioning it in a Nintendo Direct just a day ago! Well, awesome! That’s another DLC item I can check off the list.

Image

If you live in the UK or elsewhere, you apparently download a high-bun wig or something like that. This item is a normal in-game item, so I urge all US players to share their fedora chairs and spread the love as the UK players did with the shaved-ice lamp a while back. Cheers all! That’s all for now, more to come!

PS: I’m so honored and thrilled with the amount of support I’ve gotten on my new music album. My fans are the best anyone could ask for, and because of you, I will keep pursuing my dream. While my stint on the TV show Grimm is over for now… I can’t wait for the next chapter in my acting career… Thanks for the emails, messages and support. Hopefully I can keep providing expert ACNL advice with everything else going on haha. Keep playing away, readers!   #FF7

Day 23: Coffee, Paths and Shaved Ice!

I want to make a quick note before I start on today’s blog that yesterday, although my Nintendo items were both duds, I managed to find somebody who was cleaning out their Nintendo stock! They didn’t have much left, but I managed to obtain a Fi Mask and a Peach’s Parasol, both visible below!

Image

The exhibits coming on nicely! Now, as I said previously, I was going to look for a path design via QR. I found one I really liked with yellow bricks and stairs. I also found a separate water design that I really liked, so yesterday, I got them both and tested them out near the orchards.

Image

Looks pretty spiffy I’d say. I added a little bit near the train station before I called it quits yesterday…

Image

Now, if you remember, I said my number one priority was to get enough bells to buy the zodiac statues from a time traveling friend of mine. This morning, I brought in an exceptional amount, giving me a total of 1,400,000 bells. I put it in the bank (which led to the post office presenting me with a piggy bank via mail) and await the arrival of the statues on Friday!

I was also talking about the Europe exclusive DLC item, the shaved-ice lamp. My European friend wasn’t answering me back, but another player from Europe contacted me and said he wanted to give me one! I was SO excited and in return, let him catalog all of my Japanese DLC items (you can too! http://animalcrossingnewleaf.moonfruit.com) The item looks great in my kitchen!

Image

As I entered the village, Gayle approached me for no reason and gave me an item… Hmmm…

Image

She probably wants me to bathe WITH her… awkward. Anyway, I found my money rock today, but as before, it spit out a bunch of ore rather than bells (one of the perks of having a silver shovel)

Image

I visited main street to see the Nookling’s shop under construction, as promised. I went over to the museum to see what was new there and I found Blathers awake and thinking again…

Image

I talked to him and found out he was troubled because his old friend Brewster wanted to open up shop. This opened up the cafe as a public works project!!!

Image

Super excited about this, I headed home straight away to clean my cabana room and place another palm-tree lamp in it. It’s looking good!

Image

Upon exiting my house, I was approached by Erik, who tried to escape my lovely town. I put him straight and forced him to stay, although I’m concerned one of these times, someone’s just going to move out for good 😦

Image

Be that as it may, I left the conversation and saw a HUGE shadow in the river above my house. Normally, I say it’s big and it’s a dorado, but this was much bigger. I was quick enough to snag up a new fish to my collection, the arapaima! Wow!

Image

I found another person who was cleaning out their Nintendo closet and visited their town to pick up both a Kart from Mario Kart and a triforce! How lucky!

Image

I finally visited the new shop that opened above the Able Sisters’. It was none other than Shampoodle! Now I can style my hair!

Image

I started straight away to try and get a look that resembles me. For the longest time, I had spiky red hair, so I tried my best and it came out pretty close!

Image

I then visited town hall and Isabelle set up a celebration for the park bench (exciting right?). It was wonderful…

Image

Of course, the more exciting part to me was the fact that I could now start the cafe public works project. I got on finding a location straight away and settled on an area near my Re-Tail store.

Image

I heard the familiar swoosh of a balloon gift above and popped it, receiving a balloon TV as my prize!

Image

I continued paving and decking out my town to make it look awesome 🙂

Image

I then got a really odd nickname from Frank… He’s raised in creepiness… Wow…

Image

A little while later, I was approached by Cobb as he told me a stadium light would be a great next public works project. That’s probably what I’ll tackle next!

Image

I then spotted another balloon gift right before it would disappear over a cliff. I had just enough time to pull out my slingshot, take a screenshot and pop it down to get a balloon bed. Sounds comfy.

Image

I then decided to pay off the 300,000 bells for the cafe because I’m so excited. I can make the money back by friday to pay my time traveler.

Image

The last thing I did today was head down to see Dr. Shrunk in Club LOL to get my new emotion for the day. He taught me inspiration, which I can now use to appear smart!

Image

Just as I thought my game was over for the day, I was contacted by my original European friend and he said he wanted to get me a shaved-ice lamp as well. I took up the opportunity to grab it (since its unorderable). I plan on keeping one for others to catalog and trying to trade one for one or more 7-11 Items, because that would be great to have.

For Tomorrow:

  • It’s 4th of July, so probably a whole lot of nothing 🙂
