New DLC Update! Kadomatsu, Star-Sign Furniture Round 2 and 3!

Hey all! I’m back with your next DLC update. For those of you that have been keeping up on playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf (I am unfortunately not included in this… just picked the game back up today lol), you may want to know about the 3 newest DLC items to be released! Of course, as always, all of the DLC items will be updated on my website (http://animalcrossingnewleaf.moonfruit.com) with every blog post!

Today on ACC, I was lucky enough to find a user (oshawaffles) who was very kind and let me catalog the items! So, if you played your game at all after christmas, you may have had a visit from Pete with a special letter from Nintendo.

Image

Upon opening the letter, you should have received an item called kadomatsu. While I’m still a little iffy on the exact dates, most websites attribute this item to the timeframe of December 26 to January 7. However, the item is reorderable, so searching ACC and other trading posts for a willing person to let you catalog shouldn’t be too difficult!

Image

The other exciting news is that 2 more star-sign DLC items have been released. If you remember, last time I talked about the Sagittarius Arrow. The next items in the series, the Capricorn Ornament

Image

…and the Aquarius Urn

Image

Have indeed been released. I still have not confirmed whether these are Japan only at this point or not, but I have heard tell that in the U.S., such DLC items have been repeating like the pumpkin pie and slushie machine. If this is true, these indeed would only be available in the post office to Japan players. But again, they’re reorderable, so searching for a willing player to let you catalog shouldn’t prove to difficult!

That’s all I’ve got for now. In other sad sad news, Victoria finally moved away, but it’s my own fault for never playing nowadays. She did, however, send me a letter with her picture in it before leaving (that was nice of her lol). I will try to update if anymore unknown DLC releases come about or with the next couple sets of star-sign DLC. Keep playin’ away guys! Be back soon!

Week 10: Major Website Updates, Art Exhibit ALMOST Complete, and More!

This is going to be the lamest blog post (just a head’s up) lol! I had a heck of a start to my week with online college finals.. But the good news is I will graduate in one more term! Also, I’ve started the recording of my fourth music album, so ACNL time has been pushed to the side… But there are still a couple of things that I will note here for week 10, hopefully next week will be more exciting!

I don’t know why I’m even posting this, but Gracie came to my town and I skipped out on her (again..) She always comes on the worst days… 😦 aw well, I have passed 2 fashion checks and only need 2 more, so all in good time!

Image

On that note, I am currently working on updating my website (http://animalcrossingnewleaf.moonfruit.com) with a Gracie Fashion Check guide. Some updates have occured, which I will list below…

  • New Autumn layout
  • Catalogs updated
  • Museum page updated, including a full bug catching list, September fish, maps, etc (just go take a look!)
  • Music being updated now!
  • Club Tropica… Still under construction (sorry!)
  • New pictures

As I ran along the river (sometime during the week) I saw a tiny shadow and for some reason thought “what the heck” and went fishing. I’m glad I did, because I caught a new species to me, a popeyed goldfish!

Image

I went and donated the fish to the museum and decided to check out the 2nd floor shop. I’m glad I did, because there I found a paintball floor, a commemorative item for my art exhibit being more than 50% complete! Woot woot!

Katrina told me more crazy stories as the week went on… I worry about her sometimes…

HNI_0044

I paid Victoria the usual visits as well, and I’m glad to say that we are still madly in love (apparently)… lol

HNI_0045

And I see she saved the flight attendant uniform I sent her… I am so evil lol. 😉

HNI_0046

Throughout the week, Cobb suggested that I build a drinking fountain as my next public works project. I thought it was a great idea for my park (Cobb has actually had quite a few good ideas as of late). Here’s the final product! 🙂

HNI_0049

And he didn’t stop there! Just today, he recommended a torch, another one I’ve been waiting for! Can’t wait to see how it looks once it’s built tomorrow!

HNI_0052

Another thing I realized today was that you can refurbish your stained glass window if you have one. I’ve been keeping one in my rococo room (if you remember from previous blogs), so I decided to visit Cyrus…

HNI_0054

Now, there’s a handy guide online (see my website) that tells you all of the combinations of design patterns you can make. So I chose one that I liked and set the alpaca to work! It came out great!!

HNI_0059

Today on ACC, I managed to score a few things. First off, somebody sold me a yellow aloha shirt and their hero’s cap for very very cheap!

HNI_0055

I then set up a thread where I would buy the remaining art pieces I need in my museum for 500k a piece. While this was a bit draining on my bank account (a total of 5 art pieces were bought!) I now only need 4 pieces of art until my exhibit is complete! I’m so excited!

HNI_0056

This might be my goal for this next week!

Coming up for Week 11…

  • Finish my art exhibit (repetitive… I know lol)
  • Update website:
  1. Music updates
  2. More pictures
  3. Gracie guide
  4. Index
  • Get more badges!!!

Day 11: Dreams? More like nightmares…

As the past few days, beetle farming consumed about an hour and a half of my gameplay this morning. The trick is to get in before 7 am. I am updating the website now, so all people interested in my methods, please visit (http://animalcrossingnewleaf.moonfruit.com). Anyway, I’m not gonna blog about it anymore, just understand that I will probably do it every morning and that is why I will have immense amount of money 🙂

Image

Anyway, yesterday I forgot to share that I updated the official flag for Tropica. I also made a special sign for the Tropica Orchards, a grove with every type of fruit in the game that I will open up to players once they are full grown! I can’t wait. Here are those designs.

Image

Image

I think I’m planning on making a signpost for the orchards as my next public works project. Anyway, more on that later…

After returning home from a morning of money making, I arrived on the scene to see a new type of butterfly, the peacock, that I have never seen before…

Image

I believe it probably has something to do with it being the first official day of summer. I remembered that today is the Summer Solstice and, therefore, a special event day. I began to journey over to the town square when I caught Phineas wandering around. I talked to him and he wanted to award me a medal for all of my hard work in completing 50% of the bug encyclopedia!

Image

I decided to talk to him again after we ended the conversation, just in case. Good thing I did, because he asked if I would like another badge, and gave me one for partaking in a lot of island games. I can leave thanks to my struggle to obtain the cabana items there…

Image

I then headed over to talk to Isabelle, who was standing in the town square…

Image

She decided to award me a special item in occasion of this day! Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the ladder glasses that are the gift of the day…

Image

Oh well, at least there’s a fruity sunflower funboard to lighten my spirits……..

Image

After my disappointing festivities for the Summer Solstice, I went over to the post office to pay off my new house loan for the back room. I then spoke with Nook to have a left room installed by tomorrow

Image

The new store that was coming in between the Able Sisters and the Museum is still under construction, as is the new Nooklings upgrade. However, my public works project from yesterday, the dream suite, was complete!

Image

I headed in and began talking to the lady. She asked me if I’d like to dream of a town and I said okay and then remembered seeing a freaky one that a popular YouTube Animal Crossing couple, LinandKo, visited called Aika Village. I decided to give it a try… What’s the harm right?

(For those interested, the village’s dream address is 2600-0218-7298)

I arrived there, and was in for the freakiest Animal Crossing experience I’d ever witnessed…

Image

Everything seemed normal at first… Except that weird design…

Image

I eventually came upon a maze of candy! With several holes and pitfalls to dodge…

Image

I then entered a more eerie looking area… Everything’s so dead…

Image

This must be a villager! Hmmm…. that’s weird….

Image

I decided to check inside the house… Looks like someone ransacked the place!

Image

I then went in the back room…. This is just strange….

Image

More weirdness in a different room…

Image

I tried a different house and was greeted by a bookcase maze and another creepy doll with an axe…

Image

I then entered probably the scariest room of the village. Look at all those drawings….

Image

I then checked the basement… aww, that’s nice…

Image

I then entered a different house. The only was through this maze is to sit on stools and navigate. The girl living there was blocking the entrance. I exited the house and re-entered and she was gone! So I made my way through the maze. On a side note, when I was trying to leave, I made my way all the way back through to find her blocking me in. I feared that it was a trick to keep me locked in! However, after a few times backtracking and coming back, I finally found her missing again and was able to leave.

Image

This room was worth seeing… Looks like one heck of a birthday party…

Image

This is the room that was at the back of the maze… Looks like they’re shunning me…

Image

The fourth house looked like a more normal setting (minus the creepy mannequins).

Image

Upstairs changed my mind a bit…. Take from it what you will, it was revealed in LinandKo‘s video that the girls all say stuff in a weird mixture of Japanese that comes out to say “mommy” and “i miss mom.. die” or stuff like that. Looking at the paintings, you can see the girl with her family, it’s like a creeped out little trip. I was glad to finally make it back to my bed and leave this place, but it was quite the experience.

After all that, I decided to call it a day. Since it’s Summer Solstice, no public works projects can be started so there’s not much left to do! I still plan on meeting with a Japanese player to get some rare items and updating the official website, so I’ll post another blog tomorrow about this.

For Tomorrow:

  • The shop in between the Able Sisters and Museum will finally be revealed??
  • Nookling’s upgraded store
  • Start a new public works project
  • Maybe another dream experience
